Photographing a wedding beyond convention

Weddings are often portrayed through images that follow a precise script: moments to stage, poses to repeat, details to perfect and expectations about how such an important day should look. But every wedding is different, because the people, the relationships and the stories running through it are different.

Documentary wedding photography starts from a simple premise: there is no need to turn a day into a performance to make it memorable. I am interested in observing what happens, leaving room for emotions without forcing them and recognizing those moments that often slip by while you are busy living everything else.

My approach to wedding photography is natural and discreet. I follow the rhythm of the day, the people who are part of it, the encounters, the waiting and the spontaneous gestures. I step in when necessary, without asking you to keep playing the role of the couple or to interrupt what you are living in order to get a photograph.

I am not looking for a perfect wedding to show, but for a story that looks like you. A story with room for the people who matter to you, the relationships you have built, the traditions you feel are yours and those you have chosen to let go.

Because a wedding is not only a ceremony, a party or a succession of moments to document. It is an intertwining of personal and collective stories, of chosen bonds and of meanings that change from one couple to another.

The photographs thus become a trace to keep over time: not the ideal version of how your day should have been, but the memory of how you really lived it.
