A whole day, without missing what matters
A wedding is made of moments that follow one another, but also of everything that happens between one and the next. The emotions of the preparations, the people arriving, the encounters with those you had not seen in a long time, the spontaneous gestures during the party. Often it is precisely these fragments, far from the official moments, that give back the meaning of a day.
Documentary wedding photography makes it possible to preserve this continuity, following the rhythm of events without reducing the story to a sequence of planned images. With eight hours of coverage I can observe for longer what happens around you, leaving room for relationships, details and the unexpected situations that make every wedding different from the others.
My approach is natural and discreet: I do not ask you to repeat a gesture or interrupt a moment to build a photograph. I observe, move among people and try to understand the atmosphere of the day, stepping in only when necessary.
I do not believe a wedding has to follow a precise model to deserve being remembered. Every couple brings a story, a network of affections and a personal way of celebrating. That is why I am interested in telling also what escapes convention: the families people choose, the relationships that change shape, the traditions that take on a new meaning and the moments that had not been planned.
A longer story makes it possible to keep not only what happened, but also the context in which it happened: the people present, the shared gestures and the small traces that, with time, become memory.
Because telling a wedding means keeping a story in its entirety, without having to make it perfect, but leaving it the freedom to be authentic.
